Non-Compliant Businesses
The following is a list of retailers in Scott County who sold tobacco to underage youth during the 2006-07 compliance checks. The compliance checks are performed by local law enforcement officers on all businesses that have a license to sell tobacco products. The checks take place once a year unless a business is found to be non compliant. If a business sells tobacco to an underage teen during the check, a second check will be performed before the end of the fiscal year.
During FY06, there were 240 checks performed on 215 retailers in Scott County. There were 29 violations recorded leaving Scott County with a compliance rating of 87%.
